This is overridden in GDB as an link:https://sourceware.org/gdb/current/onlinedocs/gdb.html/Xmethod-API.html[xmethod], so it will not invoke any C++ synchronization code. This behaviour can be overridden by using the view "ShowElementsByIndex", which switches the map display behaviour to name the elements by index.
